How to Properly Wash Your Car

Whether washing your car is something you like or not, the best way to keep it in mint condition it to manually wash it. Using machines and taking the easy way will not help your cars body in the long run. The rumors are true, automatic car washes do, and if they haven't already will scratch your car. Since your car is not actually being touched by human hands, automatic car washes depend on chemicals to remove dirt and marks. These chemicals will damage your paint job.
To give your car the proper wash it deserves you need to do it yourself. Here are some tips you should follow:
  • Do not use regular shop to wash your car. This shop was not designed for cars, it was probably meant for dishes or house cleaning. This stuff contains chemicals that will and can stain your car. If you are looking for the right soap you can find it at any Wal Mart or Target for a very cheap price.
  • Make sure you are using a soft surface to scrub your car. Many pre made car wash packages come with wool mitts and cloths to help you prevent scratching. Do not use brushes for the body of your car these are designed for the wheels and rims.
  • Try to wash the top of your car first, than save the bottom last. Doing this saves you from getting your water dirty right away. The wheels and rims of your car will generally be the dirtiest part of your car so they will turn your water black very fast.
  • Try to wash your car when its not sunny. Running water will dry leaving streaks across your car which will car wash equipment for sale just create more scrubbing.
